Eleven Stranger Things Amigurmi

SKILLS YOU NEED:

  •  Basic intermediate amigurumi skills
  •  How to change yarn color
  • Basic sewing and embroidery skills
  • How to join parts

 

MATERIALS:

  • Hook N° 3.5 mm and 4 mm
  • Worsted weight yarn
  • I used: El gato expres
  • skin color
  • green
  • white
  • pink
  • yellow
  • grey
  • brown
  • blue
  • 2 (9mm) safety eyes
  • yarn needle
  • stitch marker
  • scissors
  • pins
  • Fiberfill or stuffing of choice
  • Finished size about 29 cm tall
  • Using similar yarn

 

ABBREVIATIONS:

  • MR= magic ring
  • ch = chain
  • sc = single crochet
  • hdc = half double crochet
  • dc = double crochet
  • inc = increase (2 sc in one st)
  • dec = decrease (sc 2 together)
  • FLO = front loop only
  • BLO = back loop only
  • hdc inc = half double crochet increase (2 hdc in same st)
  • dc inc =  double crochet increase ( 2 dc in same st)
  • sts (s) = stitches (s)
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • rep = repeat
  • * * = repeat work between asterisks as indicated
  • ( ) = number of stitches you should have at the end of your round

 

NOTE:

  • Mark the beginning of each round with a stitch marker
  • Start stuffing as you go

 

ARMS MAKE (2)

SKIN COLOR  hook 3.5mm

1.- Start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

2.- inc in each stitch around (12)

3.- * 1 sc, dec* rep 4 times (8)

4.- 1  sc in each stitch around (8)

CHANGE TO PINK YARN

5- 16.- sc in each stitch around (8)

stuff slightly the part of the hand

17.- fold the arm and make 3 sc, both sides together to close.

fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

  

 

LEGS MAKE (2)

GREY COLOR

1.- 5 sc in a magic ring (5)

2.- inc in each stitch around (10)

3.- * 1 sc, inc * rep 5 times (15)

4.- 4 sc, dec 3 times, 5 sc (12)

5.- 4 sc, dec 2 times, 4 sc (10)

6.- sc in each stitch around  (10)

CHANGE TO WHITE YARN

7.- sc BLO in each stitch around (10)

8 – 10.- sc in each stitch around (10)

CHANGE TO GREEN YARN  

11.- sc in each stitch around (10)

CHANGE TO YELLOW YARN 

12.- sc in each stitch around (10)

CHANGE TO GREEN YARN 

13.- sc in each stitch around (10)

CHANGE TO WHITE YARN 

14.- sc in each stitch around (10)

CHANGE TO SKIN COLOR YARN 

15.- sc BLO in each stitch around (10)

16 – 22 .- sc in each stitch around  (10)

CHANGE TO WHITE YARN 

23.- sc in each stitch around (10)

Stuff firmly, fasten off .

*Make a second leg,  sc 4  and ch 4 DO NOT cut the yarn at the end.

  

now join the legs , place your stitch marker in the first sc.

24.- 10 sc , 4 sc  over the chain taking only one strand , 10 sc , 4 sc  over the chain taking only one strand (28)

25 – 32.- sc in each stitch around (28)

CHANGE TO PINK YARN 

33.- 1 sc in each stitch around (28)

34.- sc BLO in each stitch around (28)

35.- sc in each stitch around  (28)

36.- * 5 sc, dec * rep 4 times (24)

37.- sc in each stitch around (24)

38.- * 2 sc, dec * rep 6 times (18)

Start stuffing as you go

39 – 40.- sc in each stitch around (18)

41.- * 1 sc, dec* rep 6 times (12)

42.- sc in each stitch around  (12)

*Sew arms in round 40

CHANGE TO SKIN COLOR YAR 

43.- sc BLO in each stitch around (12)

44.- sc in each stitch around  (12)

Do not cut the skin color yarn

We are going to continue with the neck and skirt

NECK 

ROUND #43 we are going to continue with white yarn in the back side

 

1.-  FLO 1 sc,  inc , hdc inc, dc inc, hdc inc,

1sl st, 1sl st, hdc inc , dc inc , hdc inc,

inc, 1 sc (20)  fasten off

SKIRT

PINK YARN 

ROUND #34  we are going to continue with pink yarn in the back side

  • Finish each round with a sl st in the first sc 
  • Start  round with a ch 1 and a sc in the same st.

3- 15.- sc in each stitch around (56)

fasten off.

Now we continue with the skin color

45.- * 1 sc, inc * rep 6 times (18)

46.- * 2 sc, inc * rep 6 times (24)

47.- * 3 sc, inc * rep 6 times (30)

48.- * 4 sc, inc* rep 6 times (36)

49 – 56 .- sc in each stitch around (36)

Insert safety eyes between round 53 and 54 (6 stitches apart)

Sew nose between round 51 and 52 

57.- * 4 sc, dec * rep 6 times (30)

58.- * 3 sc, dec * rep 6 times (24)

59.- * 2 sc, dec * rep 6 times (18)

60.- * 1 sc, dec * rep 6 times (12)

61.- * dec * rep 6 times  (6)

Stuff firmly, fasten off 

HAIR 

BROWN YARN 

1.- 6 sc in a magic ring  (6)

2.- inc in each stitch around  (12)

3.- * 1 sc, inc * rep 6 times (18)

4.- * 2 sc, inc * rep 6 times (24)

5.- * 3 sc, inc* rep 6 times (30)

6.- * 4 sc, inc * rep 6 times (36)

7 – 10.- sc in each stitch around (36)

11.- 1 sl st, 1 sc, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sc, 1 sl st, 1 sc, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, 17 dc,

1 hdc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, Now we are going to stop working in spiral, turn and   1 dec, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 15 dc,

1 hdc, 1 sc, 1 dec.  fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

 

WIG YELLOW YARN 

We follow the same steps of the brown hair until round # 10

11.- 1 sl st, 1 sc, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sc, 1 sl st, 1 sc ch 2 and make 23 dc. ch 2 and turn.

12.- 23 dc, ch 2 and turn

13-15.- 23 dc, ch 2 and turn

fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

  

JACKET

BLUE YARN HOOK 4.mm 

ch 31

Start in the second ch from the hook

Ch 1 and turn at the finish of every row

1.-  sc  in each chain (30)

2 – 6.- sc in each stitch (30)

7.- 1 dec, 1 dec, 9 sc, 1 dec, 1 dec, 9 sc, 1 dec, 1 dec. (24)

8.- 1 dec, 20 sc, 1 dec (22)

9.- 4 sc, ch 5  skip next 5 stitches, 4 sc, ch 5 skip next 5 stitches , 4 sc.

10.- sc in each stitch around  and over the chain taking only one strand  (22)

11.- Single crochet all the way around the piece increase in every corner ,fasten off

   

SLEEVES MAKE  (2)

ch 11

Start in the second ch from the hook

Ch 1 and turn at the finish of every row

1.-sc in each chain (10)

2 – 12.- sc in each stitch (10)

fold each sleeve in half and sew edges together

  

sew the sleeve in the jacket, fasten off
