- How to change yarn color
- Basic sewing and embroidery skills
- How to join parts
SIZE: Finished size about 25 cm tall using similar yarn
MATERIALS:
- Crochet Hook N° 4
- Worsted weight acrylic yarn #4
- I used: El gato expres
- White / 20g. approx.
- Red / 40g. approx.
- Yellow / 70g. approx
- Green / 40g. approx
- Leftovers of white and yellow super fine yarn
- 2 (12mm) safety eyes
- Yarn Needle
- stitch marker
- scissors
- pins
- Fiberfill or stuffing of choice
ABBREVIATIONS:
- Rnd = Round
- MR= magic ring
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- hdc = half double crochet
- dc = double crochet
- inc = increase (2 sc in one st)
- dec = decrease (sc 2 together)
- inv dec = invisible decrease
- FLO = front loop only
- BLO = back loop only
- sts (s) = stitches (s)
- sl st = slip stitch
- rep = repeat
- * * = repeat work between asterisks as indicated
- ( ) = number of stitches you should have at the end of your round
NOTE:
- Choose your favorite worsted weight yarn
- Work in continuous rounds
- Mark the beginning of each round with a stitch marker
- Do not join rounds with a slip stitch or turn unless stated otherwise.
- If you normally crochet loosely, you may want to use a smaller hook size to tighten your stitches up
- Start stuffing as you go

PATTERN
ARMS MAKE 2, YELLOW YARN
Rnd 1.- Start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2.- inc in each stitch around (12)
Rnd 3-4.- 1 sc in each stitch around (12)
Rnd 5.- *inv dec, 2 sc* rep 3 times (9)
Rnd 6-8.- 1 sc in each stitch around (9)
CHANGE TO GREEN YARN
Rnd 9.- BLO 1 sc in each stitch around (9)
Rnd 10-12.- 1 sc in each stitch around (9)
Rnd 13.- inv dec, 7 sc (8)
Stuff slightly.
Rnd 14.- fold the arm and make 3 sc, both sides together to close.
Fasten off and make another one.
LEGS MAKE 2, WHITE YARN
Rnd 1.- Start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2.- inc in each stitch around (12)
Rnd 3.- *1 sc, inc* rep 6 times (18)
Rnd 4.- *2 sc, inc* rep 6 times (24)
CHANGE TO YELLOW YARN
Rnd 5.- BLO 8 sc, change to white yarn and make 8 sc, change to yellow yarn and make 8 sc (24)
Rnd 6.- With yellow yarn make 8 sc, change to white yarn and make 4 inv dec, change to yellow yarn and make 8 sc (20)
CONTINUE WITH YELLOW
Rnd 7.- 6 sc, 4 inv dec, 6 sc (16)
Rnd 8-11.- 1 sc in each stitch around (16)
CHANGE TO GREEN YARN
Rnd 12.- BLO 1 sc in each stitch around (16)
Rnd 13-15.- 1 sc in each stitch around (16)
Stuff firmly, fasten off.
We are going to continue with WHITE yarn in the back side of round # 5
FLO: 1 sc in each chain, sl st in the first sc. Fasten off
With white super fine yarn, embroider the shoelaces
Make a second leg, DO NOT cut the yarn at the end.
BODY
CHANGE TO YELLOW YARN
Second leg make 6 sc and chain 3. now join the legs, count 3 sc of the first leg. see picture # 3, place your stitch marker in the first sc.
Rnd 16.- Make 16 sc, 3 sc over the chain taking only one strand, 16 sc, 3 sc over the chain taking only one strand (38)
Rnd 17-18.- 1 sc in each stitch around (38)
Rnd 19.- * 17 sc, inv dec* rep 2 times (36)
Rnd 20-21.- 1 sc in each stitch around (36)
Rnd 22.- BLO 1 sc in each stitch around (36)
CHANGE TO GREEN YARN
Rnd 23.- BLO * 4 sc, dec * rep 6 times (30)
Rnd 24-26.- 1 sc in each stitch around (30)
Rnd 27.- * 3 sc, inv dec * rep 6 times (24)
Rnd 28.- 1 sc in each stitch around (24)
Rnd 29.- Make 6 sc, we place the arm to join the body through the 4 strands and we make 3 sc, continued with 9 sc place the second arm and make 3 sc and finish the round with 3 sc (24)

With green yarn, embroider a few lines to the sides between rounds 16 to 21. And with yellow super fine yarn embroider a small rhombus between rounds 28 and 29.
CHANGE TO RED YARN
HEAD
Rnd 33.- * 2 sc, inc * rep 6 times (24)
Rnd 34.- * 3 sc, inc * rep 6 times (30)
Rnd 35.- * 4 sc, inc * rep 6 times (36)
Rnd 36.- * 5 sc, inc * rep 6 times (42)
Rnd 37.-* 6 sc, inc * rep 6 times (48)
Rnd 38-48 .- 1 sc in each stitch around (48)
¡Start stuffing as you go!
- Place safety eyes between round 43 and 42. 7 stitches apart.
- Embroider nose between rounds 41 to 40
- With yellow super fine yarn embroider a small rhombus between rounds 46 and 47, and with green yarn embroider the rhombus.

Rnd 50.-* 5 sc, inv dec * rep 6 times (36)
Rnd 51.-* 4 sc, inv dec * rep 6 times (30)

Stuff firmly

Fasten off and leave a long tail, thread the yarn in through a yarn needle and close the remaining stitches by inserting the needle into the front loop of each remaining stitch and pulling it tight.
HEAD, GREEN YARN
Rnd 1.- Start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2.- inc in each stitch around (12)
Rnd 3.- *1 sc, inc* rep 6 times (18)
Rnd 4.- *2 sc, inc* rep 6 times (24)

Slip stitch in the next stitch, fasten off and leave a long tail, with our yarn needle sew the top to the head.
CLOAK YELLOW YARN
1.- Make 21 chains
2-6.- 1 sc in each st. ch 1 and turn. (20)
7.- dec, 16 sc, dec. ch 1 and turn (18)
8.- 1 sc in each st. ch 1 and turn (18)
9.- dec, 14 sc, dec. ch 1 and turn (16)
10-14.- 1 sc in each st. ch 1 and turn (16)
15.- dec, 12 sc, dec. ch 1 and turn (14)
16.- 1 sc in each st. ch 1 and turn (14)
17.- dec, 10 sc, dec. ch 1 and turn (12)
18.- 1 sc in each st. ch 1 and turn (12)
19.- dec, 8 sc, dec. ch 1 and turn. (10)
20-21 .- 1 sc in each st. (10)
Single crochet all the way around the piece, increase in every corner.
Make 7 chains, 6 sc, 10 sc, 7 chains, 6 sc.
Fasten off.
1.- FLO Insert the hook in the second chain and make 5 sc, 10 sc and 5 sc over the chains. ch 1 and turn (20)
2.- 1 inc, 18 sc, 1 inc. ch 1 and turn (22)
3.- 1 dc in each st, ch 1 and turn (22)
4.- 1 inc, 20 sc, 1 inc. ch 1 and turn (24)
5.- 1 dc in each st, ch 1 and turn (24)
6.- 1 sc in each st (24)
Fasten off and hide loose ands.
Cut 2 strands of about 12 cm approximately and with our yarn needle we sew them to the cloak and hide the ends.
Now we place the cape on the neck and make a small bow.
